Besides known for their good hawker-centre food, Penang is known for (by Indonesian at least) the best place that offers a medical check up. I went there on October 2022 to accompany my mom for her eye check up at Island Hospital Penang and while we were waiting for our appointment, I had the chance to stroll around the small town and take pictures of the street. It amazes me how what seems to be a small city have a few large malls that is suitable for people who wanted to go for a shopping spree (my mom included of course). I was staying in this area called Georgetown which located pretty far from the city, where everything seems to be more chill, and I get to try some of the amazing food near our hotel.

It’s actually kinda funny how Penang reminds me of Indonesia while at the same time it’s more similar to Singapore. Kind of a mix of everything that makes the place special I guess.

While it could be boring for some people since there isn’t that much of a thing to do, I think I would want to visit the place again next time and take my time to capture more things there.
